ABVP Kathua Declares Results of District-Level General Knowledge Competition, Komal Madgotra Secures First Position
Kathua: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Kathua organized a district-level General Knowledge Competition on June 14, 2026, in memory of Late Sunil Upadhyay Ji for students from Classes 9 to 12. Around 750 students from across the district participated enthusiastically in the competition. Four examination centres were established at Kathua, Bani, Basohli and Billawar.
The results of the competition were declared by ABVP on August 21, 2026. Komal Matgotra of Higher Secondary School Jakhwar, Kathua, secured the first position by scoring 87 marks. Chaitanya Sharma of Kartar Public School, Barnoti, secured the second position with 82 marks.
The third position was jointly secured by two students. Deepka Kumari of Higher Secondary School Tapper, Bani, and Anmol Rajwal of Government High School Kotri Sandroon, Bani, scored 81 marks each.
ABVP Kathua congratulated all the winning students and extended its best wishes for their bright future. The organization informed that the students who performed exceptionally well in the competition will be felicitated with cash prizes at an upcoming programme.
ABVP Kathua stated that the objective of organizing such competitions is to promote general knowledge, intellectual abilities, competitive spirit, and awareness among students towards the nation and society. The organization further stated that it will continue to organize such educational and creative activities in the future for the overall development of students.
