CRPF 121 Battalion Organizes Free Medical Camp in Billawar’s Reha Tandi


Billawar (Kathua), February 19:  
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 121 Battalion, under its Civic Action Programme, organized a free medical camp today at Reha Tandi village, Rural Haat Billawar, to provide healthcare services to residents of remote areas.
The camp, held under the guidance of Commandant Arvind Singh. Its primary aim was to deliver doorstep medical facilities to underprivileged villagers who face difficulties in accessing hospitals.
Doctors from SDH Billawar, including Dr. Tarun Raina (Medical Officer), Dr. Sakshi Gupta (Medical Officer), and Manjeet Singh (MMPHW, NTPHC Pallan), joined the initiative. From CRPF, Dr. Sudhakar Rai (CMO) and pharmacist Surender Kumar examined patients and distributed free medicines.

Villagers from Reha Tandi, Sukrala, Najot, Billawar, and nearby areas benefited from the camp. Patients requiring advanced treatment were referred to Kathua Civil Hospital.
The event was attended by Deputy Commandant Sandeep Kumar Sharma, Assistant Commandant Ram Bahadur, Village Sarpanch Meetu Devi, local representatives, CRPF officers, and jawans.

Speaking on the occasion, Commandant Arvind Singh emphasized that such medical camps under the Civic Action Programme aim to strengthen trust and cooperation between CRPF and local communities. He noted that these initiatives promote peace, security, and welfare in the region.

Local residents expressed gratitude to CRPF for the humanitarian effort and urged for similar programs in the future.
