The Department of Languages, Govt. Degree College, Kathua, organized an insightful and engaging lecture for the Vth Semester students (Session 2025–2026) as part of their ongoing Summer Internship Program. The session aimed to provide students with a practical understanding of media and journalism.
Mr. Sahil Khajuria, Bureau Chief, Amar Ujala, was the esteemed speaker for the event. He introduced students to the nuances of journalism, highlighting its significance, responsibilities, and evolving challenges in the contemporary world. His address was both enlightening and thought-provoking, offering students a glimpse into the realities of the media industry.
The event was graced by Dr. Sanjay Karlupia, Incharge Principal of the college. The welcome address was presented by Dr. Yash Paul Sharma, Head, Department of Urdu, who emphasized the importance of experiential learning and the need for students to engage with industry professionals.
The lecture was attended by Heads of various departments, faculty members, and the Semester V students, all of whom appreciated the relevance and depth of the discussion.
