KATHUA; 10 SEP:- In continuation to a drive launched by J&K Police Kathua against the thieves/Snatchers operating in this district Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS has solved one snatching case by recovering 14 Mobile phones, 01 Motorbike(without Reg No) from Hatli area of PP Industria Estates Kathua & 02 accused persons arrested who were involved in the offence in limits of PS Kathua.
A Police team of Police Post Hatli led by IC PP Industrial Estates Kathua PSI Subham Mahajan under the close supervision of DySP Hqrs Kathua Sh. Ravinder Singh & SHO P/S Kathua Insp. Sandeep Chib arrested 02 mobile snatchers namely Sameer Uddin S/o Salauddin R/o U.P A/P Ward No 10 Kathua and Akash Kumar Roy S/o Anil Roy R/o Bihar A/P Ward No. 21 , Kathua along with 01 motorcycle without number and recovered 14 mobile phones following their disclosures. The said persons while riding bikes used to snatch mobile phones of pedestrians in the Industrial area Kathua and are booked in Case FIR No. 431/2025 U/S 304, 3(5) BNS of PS Kathua. One more accused namely Gourav Sharma S/o Rajinder Sharma R/o Ward No. 09, kathua of their gang is involved in the case who is absconding and evading arrest.
Upon interrogation, both the accused confessed their involvement in the said snatching case and disclosed the location of the stolen items.
Thereafter the recovered items i.e 14 Mobile Phones, 01 Motorbike were seized and two accused persons were arrested on the spot.
