KATHUA, 05 FEB: In continuation to take tough action against drug menace and its propagators within the District, J&K Police Kathua recovered Approx. 15.18 grams of heroin (chitta) like narcotics at Galak area of PP Ramkot and one drug peddler was arrested.
On dated 05.02.2025, a police team led by IC PP Ramkot under the supervision of SDPO Billawar and SHO P/S Billawar during naka/ checking in its jurisdictional area at Galak apprehended one suspicious person namely Bhag Hussain S/0 Shumma R/o Garh Samna Banj Tehsil Majalta District Udhampur. During checking, approx. 15.18 grams of heroin like narcotics was recovered from the possession of said person who was en routed on his motorbike bearing Reg. No. JK02C-5275 and doing illegal trade of selling narcotic contraband among the youth of Ramkot in order to gain illegitimate profit.Thereafter all the recovered narcotics i.e. approx. 15.18 grams of Heroin alongwith 01 motorbike was seized and one person
was arrested. In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 15/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Billawar and further investigation was taken up.
Kathua Police again requests people of the area to come forward and share information about any such illicit activity with Police for the cause and assures that their identity will be kept confidential.
